Woolen fleece is laminated and sewn onto the felt, along with oil-tanned wear leathers and industrial rot-resistant threads, making Iconoclast saddle pads built to provide years of service.
The felt utilized by Iconoclast is the highest quality grade blended wool felt, specifically engineered for the equine industry with a composition of 75/25 wool blend. Their specifications demand an exacting texture to ensure complete flexibility and softness, providing a comfortable fit from the very first ride without any break-in period required. Additionally, they insist that their felt possesses enough body to prevent crushing or compression under the weight of saddle, rider, and workload.
In complement to their wool felt, they laminate and sew 29/32 super pile woolen fleece to the underside. Their fleece stands out as the longest and thickest used in the equine industry today. Every saddle I have is covered with an AJ Tack cover. I use them while traveling, and they are very durable. The zipper is efficient in keeping dust off of my saddle, and the handle makes it so much easier to carry.
