The Myler MB 43LP Narrow Low Ported Barrel on the 5" HBT Shank is the mildest of all Myler Level 2-3 mouthpieces for tongue pressure — just one step below Level 3. Unlike a correctional, the MB 43LP does not rotate onto the tongue; it sits solidly across bars and lips. The narrow port still allows the tongue to pass under the bit, and when reins are engaged, the horse feels only slight pressure on the outside tongue edges — a gentle reminder, not a reprimand. 1 1/4" port height means little to no palate pressure. The shorter HBT shank makes grazing easier for the horse — well suited for trail riding. Sweet iron oxidizes to encourage salivation.
