Myler Flat Shank Medium Wide Ported Barrel MB 33, 5" — Sweet Iron, 7" Flat Shank, Level 3, Independent Swivel Cheek
The Myler MB 33 Medium Wide Ported Barrel on the 7" Flat Shank is Myler's mildest mouthpiece in terms of tongue pressure — a Level 3 bit for horses with a trustworthy, consistent disposition who are trained to work off the leg and seat. The wide port allows the tongue to pass almost completely under the bit; because the mouthpiece does not rotate onto the tongue and the port is wide, it applies little to no tongue pressure, working primarily off the lips and bars; the 1 1/2" port height means minimal palate pressure. Sweet iron oxidizes to encourage salivation. The Flat Shank features Independent Swivel Cheek where purchase, mouthpiece, and shank all move independently.
